We begin with a client intake to define the responsibilities, hours, schedule, tools, compensation range, and success criteria. We then recruit, screen, interview, and test candidates before presenting a concise shortlist with evaluation notes and our recommendation.

You do. Added Margin recommends the strongest candidates, but the client approves the final person, compensation, schedule, working arrangement, and offer.

Our goal is to present a small group of genuinely strong candidates rather than a large stack of applications. A typical shortlist is approximately three finalists, although the exact number may vary by search.

How long does a search take?

Qualified finalists are often available in approximately two weeks. Timing varies based on role complexity, compensation, candidate availability, schedule requirements, and client responsiveness.

Can I hire part-time or full-time?

Yes. Roles can be structured around approximately 10, 20, 30, or 40 hours per week. Before recruiting, we help estimate the actual workload so the schedule is sustainable and the employee has enough meaningful work.

How is compensation determined?

We establish a target range before recruiting based on the role, experience, responsibilities, communication level, hours, schedule, time-zone overlap, geography, and candidate market expectations. The client approves the final compensation and pays the employee directly.

There are two options, and both are success-based with no upfront search fee. Direct Hire is $2,995 per successful placement with no monthly Added Margin fee. Added Margin Partner is $995 per successful placement plus $195 per month for the first active employee and $95 per month for each additional active employee, with a 12-month initial term. Employee compensation is separate. Full terms appear in the pricing sheet and signed client agreement.

Added Margin Partner adds ongoing monthly support after the hire. It includes client and employee performance check-ins, communication and performance troubleshooting, ongoing training resources, task-expansion guidance, priority support, and plan-specific replacement protection governed by the signed client agreement.

Is monthly support required?

No. Direct Hire does not require a monthly support fee. Monthly support applies only under Added Margin Partner, which has a 12-month initial term as described in the signed client agreement.

Can I pause or change the search?

There is no upfront search fee, so nothing is due until a successful placement. You may pause the search once for up to 30 days; after that, the search is closed. Minor adjustments are included, but major changes to the role, experience level, hours, schedule, geography, or compensation may require a revised scope. Exact terms are in the signed client agreement.

What happens during onboarding?

Before the start date, Added Margin creates a shared 30-day plan covering priorities, responsibilities, schedule, communication, approvals, reporting, system access, and the definition of a successful first month. The client and employee receive the same plan.

Does Added Margin manage the employee day to day?

Accepted Answer

No. The employee works directly with the client, and the client remains responsible for assigning work, answering questions, giving feedback, approving decisions, and managing daily priorities. Added Margin supports the relationship but does not replace the client's manager.

What if the employee is not the right fit or leaves?

While Added Margin Partner is active and the client is in good standing, Added Margin provides a supported path to replacement. The model is based on replacement support rather than a blanket performance or refund guarantee. Exact terms are governed by the client agreement.

How is the relationship monitored?

We use structured check-ins during the first 30 days, formal reviews at Days 30, 60, and 90, and an ongoing monthly pulse after that. The goal is to catch problems early, improve communication, and help the role become more valuable over time.

Do employees receive ongoing training?

Every placed employee has access to Added Margin's ongoing AI and professional-development resources, including practical templates, communication guidance, SOP support, and tool training. Access is included; completion is encouraged but not represented as mandatory unless the client separately requires it.

What is the client responsible for?

The client is responsible for timely feedback, clear assignments, appropriate system access, direct employee payment, day-to-day management, reasonable onboarding cooperation, and promptly raising concerns.

How are confidentiality and system access handled?

During intake and onboarding, we identify the systems the employee needs, approval boundaries, security requirements, and information they should not access. The client controls access and should use appropriate passwords, permissions, confidentiality agreements, and internal security practices.

Does Added Margin handle payroll, taxes, employment classification, or legal compliance?

No. Added Margin is a recruiting, placement, and support partner — not an employer of record, payroll provider, law firm, or tax adviser. The client is responsible for the appropriate working arrangement, classification, payroll, taxes, and applicable compliance, with guidance from qualified professionals when needed.
